Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Boo Boo

Oh my, Lily has a boo boo paw.  Nothing scary or frightening, mind you, just a little limp.  In fact, sometimes she forgets about it and jumps around as though there's nothing wrong.  I'm sure she'll be raring to go for our morning walk... outside... in the cold. It's 35 (F) here in Central Pa.  There's a chance of snow flurries on Monday.  And yes, that is my sole day off until next Sunday.

They NYT Cooking section had a recipe for 'old-fashioned beef stew.'  Yum.  Since I am off Monday, and it is supposed to be a bit blustery, I thought I'd cook up a pot.  I used to eat Dinty Moore until I realized there was so much sodium and fat in each can.  Maybe I'll bake a loaf of bread, too.  Now don't that sound tasty?  Freshly baked bread and beef stew on a cold, windy, pre-election day?

I saw where the Idiot Jerk in the White House has cancelled his plans for a large election night extravaganza at his International Hotel in Washington.  Invitations for the 'epic' event had been sent out.  Instead, he's going to be holding a smaller event, possibly at the White House, a place where social distancing is avoided to please the plague.  No actual explanation has been given.  Maybe he's expecting a boo boo moment.

And what about Texas?  The total number of people who have participated in early voting in the 2020 election has now exceeded those who went to the polls in 2016.  Republicans hate this shit.  They believe no one should vote until election day.  They want you to stand in lines and wait.  They want voting to be a difficult process because in their tiny little minds this is a demonstration of party loyalty, and no one is more loyal than a Republican.  In fact, the whole thought process behind voter intimidation is base on that single belief.  But then they've never been too smart, have they?

So, let's show them our inner Halloween and scare the shit out of them!

Boo.... Boo

Ossoff Scorches Perdue

The rain has almost stopped.  Looking at the map on Accuweather, it's going to continue tapering off.  The dogs may go for a walk.  Yesterday, during a pause, we did get a quick 'round the block' in.  I find it interesting that they don't like going out in the rain normally, but getting to take a walk?  That's a whole new story.

So, the elder MAGA head called and complained yesterday... not to me, to my supervisor, about his carpet installation.  He has 3 seams.  His basement isn't wide enough to use a 15 foot wide carpet.  For 45 minutes he whined and complained.  He did complain about the installers.  I was not privy to what he actually said about them, though evidently they ignored him when he tried to tell them how to do their job.  He is an old white man filled with anger and hatred who desperately wants to be an authority.

Okay, so is everybody as ready for this election to be over as I am?  Let's be honest here, this thing has been going on since 2015.  Yep, it never stopped.  The Idiot Jerk managed an Electoral College win and then never stopped campaigning.  He was always feeding his ego with his rallies.  When Covid arrived, he switched them off and turned on his daily TV shit shows.  I am so thankful I don't have cable.  That must have been a true nightmare.  And, as time went on, he continued to demonstrate more and more erratic behavior, saying things only a MAGA head could believe until that day he suggesting injecting Clorox.  Then it stopped, but only briefly.  Now, in a few days, his brain is going to implode.  Now, that might be entertaining.  Think of it as a deliciously political remake of Scanners.

And, if that didn't whet your appetites, here is something truly remarkable, for those who haven't seen it.  Jon Ossoff scorched David Purdue at their last debate.  By last, I'm being serious.  Perdue cancelled their final debate because... well... just watch.

Farage lies for Trump

Well, we are under a blanket of steady rain.  We're not having anything torrential, mind you.  No downpours.  This is what we call a soaker, and the precipitation is going to be lasting for the next few days.  Son of a bitch.  No dog walk today, or probably tomorrow.  They are not happy.  Biggie's lying in on the bed making high pitched puppy dog sounds.  How such a big dog can produce such whimpers is beyond me.

No gym today because of the rain.  I got in a really good dumbbell workout yesterday.  I'll go for a nice ride instead.

Yesterday I sold a $4000 + flooring installation to a woman who couldn't remember exactly which color vinyl planks she was buying.  Just think about that for a few seconds.

Remember what I said about discounting many of the polls coming out right now?  Reuters / Ipsos came out with a poll of swing states this morning a 4% (+ /-) variance.  This means their guestimations can be either 4% higher or lower, which means their predictions can be off by as much as 8%.  A 4% variance is huge. One of the reasons for this discrepancy is that less than 75% of the people they talked to consider themselves to be 'likely voters.'

And I guess the Idiot Jerk is planning on making 11 campaign stops between now and Tuesday.  That's a sign of desperation.  Yesterday, in Arizona, he gave Martha McSally, a Republican in a really tough race, a little over a minute and a half stage time.  They know it doesn't look good for two of them to be on the same stage together.  Other guest speakers were given much lengthier speaking times, including Nigel Farage....  that's right, an Englishman... one of the fools trying to screw over the UK with Brexit.  Now ain't that amazing?  He just happened to be in Arizona yesterday.  I guess that means Brexit is running along smoothly... wrong.

By the way, I checked out Farage's Twitter feed and he Tweeted this:

Biden press conference just ended. No questions from the press allowed. He is now on the back foot on corruption allegations.

Of course, he got a lot of negative comments for that lie, one being that Brexit needs the Idiot Jerk to win - if he loses all of his debts are going to be called and he becomes useless. That sounds about right.

And finally, to lighten things up, here's a picture of Biggie and Lily I took yesterday morning as they waited to go for their walk. He is in the middle of an encouraging bark.

And I shouldn't have to tell you this, but Vote Blue. Let's watch the Idiot Jerk squirm when his creditors come knocking.

Surprise!!

Wow!  My work is here already, it seems like only 2 days ago that my weekend began... oh (sadly)… it did.  Now I get to work for 5 days before I get my 1, single day off.  Then I have to work another 5 days before I start a long, long weekend.  4 days.  They're my birthday present to me.

I don't think the store's going to be too busy over the next couple of days.  We're getting Zeta.

Here's a funny story.  I have this elderly customer, 84, who thinks he's smarter then everybody else.  He bought 2 sections of carpet (a remnant & a piece cut from a roll) to put into his basement.  Well, he and his son couldn't get them to lie correctly, he said there were lumps, so after some loud shrieking on his part we returned them.  He decided to let us install carpet.  On the day he paid for the installation, he wore his bright red MAGA hat, a mask with the Idiot Jerk's face, and a bold Idiot Jerk T-shirt.  I was very polite to him.  I didn't tell him only one of his installers was going to speak English (with an accent) and that the other was only going to speak Spanish.  I'm sure he will enjoy inviting a few immigrants into his house for a few hours.  Surprise!!

Yesterday I used up the last of my blueberries to bake a cake... with cream cheese icing.

I saw where the Idiot Jerk has pulled his advertising from Florida, letting the RNC take up the slack.  This is not a good sign since he's being outspent by Biden and the Democrats.  His campaign is instead focusing on 4 rustbelt states, Pennsylvania being one of them.  That's why he was here 3 times yesterday.  His problem is that he needs to reach out beyond his base and that's not happening.  The problem here is that we don't start counting mail-in ballots until election day, and we have almost a million and a half that are going to need to be counted.  Right now they're expecting an accurate count by November 6.

On the really bright side, between 60 and 65 million people have already voted.  That is very close to the total number of people who voted in 2016.  Most of those votes are Democrat.  There are a lot of Democrats who are not voting by mail.  That method is still gaining in popularity.  Many will still head to the polls on November 3.  Surprise!

The Breakup!

Yesterday was a drizzle day.  The dogs did get their walk in, something I didn't think might happen.  Some chores were completed, but mostly I wanted to nap.  I chalk it up to the drearily overcast skies.  I was going to ride the bike but didn't.  Instead I set up a dumbbell workout on my Gym Genius.  Now I have to check my workout calendar because when I got to PF this morning I had dumbbells scheduled instead of upper body.

Oh, and there was also the news.

This whole Amy Coney Cumquat thing is rather wretched business.  I was taken by a comment by Mitch McConnell.  He complained about Democrats claiming her being voted into the Supreme Court was illegitimate.  His comment: "we're a Republic, there's nothing illegitimate about it."  Have you ever noticed how often Mitch says things that come back to bite him in the ass.  Remember those words.  "We're a Republic, there's nothing illegitimate about it."

I don't think I'm going to cycle 2500 miles this year.  The fall doldrums have set in.  They set in last year, and the year before that.  We all tend to shut down a little in the off season.  Instead of riding 60 miles per week I'll probably pop off around 40.  That's not bad.

As far as The Body in the Loch is going, I've got over 51,000 words done.  Lots of little chapters.  It starts out with broad strokes that keep getting narrower and narrower.  I've just started the chapter called Blue.  That is not a reference for the approaching election, if any of you are wondering.

An article in the NYT advised readers to be prepared to be inundated with polls.  They're going to be flying thick and fast in the next week... disregard them.  Their margins of error are going to be all over the map.  Also, if their number of 'likely voters' is an unreliable figure.  Likely is not quantitative.  Just about anything is likely to happen.  Just look at the 2016 election.

And finally, I have some... well, sorta sad news.  The breaking up of a relationship is always difficult, usually much more for one person then the other who quite often can't wait to cut those ties that bind.  Grab your tissues.  It seems as though the Idiot Jerk in the White House has just been dumped... in a very public way by his blow bro love from Moscow.  That's right.  No more kissy, kissy.  It seems that when asked about Hunter Biden, and Burisma, and the Ukraine, Vlad said "no way, Jose.  Didn't happen."  How's that for a shit pie in the face?  Or perhaps Vlad was just in a pissy mood because after all of his nurturing and help, it looks as though the Idiot Jerk's not going to get his tinfoil dictator's ass re-elected.

Stinger

Ah, my weekend of indoor chores began... with a bit of a sleep-in, not much.  A dogwalker and her 3 dogs  marching up Cumberland Road roused my 2 as they demanded to be let out to bark their 'good mornings.'  We have a steady drizzle outside that I suspect will last most of the day since we have a 56% chance of rain.  Yippee.

I went up into the attic yesterday to bring down all the Christmas ornaments stored there.  Some are going to be thrown away, some given away.  I have about 15 strings of lights which are already sitting in the trash.  This seasonal tree is a good way for me to continue getting rid of stuff.  One thing waiting out on the porch waiting for garbage day (tomorrow) is a box with a nest of some sort attached to the side.  I have no idea what kind of nest.  One thing that comes to my mind is 'mud dauber' but I don't know if that's possible since it was up in my attic.  One thing I am certain of is that the little critters that hatched from it had stingers.

The Idiot Jerk was up spewing up in New Hampshire yesterday.  NBC said his speech was... meandering, if you want to call the drivel falling from his lips a speech.  The fact that his base loves to hear him whining and complaining about the injustices being done to him by the civilized world tell you a lot about their mental faculties.  I do not doubt for a second that they, themselves, do not share the same grievances.  He is high drama, they are low drama.  They are the gossip spreaders, and the back-biters who love telling you how much things would change if they were in charge.  They are mini-replicas of the Idiot Jerk. with their voices droning too loudly and their stingers always out.  The time has come to swat them away.

Vote Blue.

The Tinfoil Dictator

Holy Crap! Sunday snuck up on me... and turned into my Friday!  That's right! My weekend starts the minute I leave work this evening.  Now, ain't that just jolly!  Of course, after that I enter into scheduling hell where I work 5 days, have a day off, and then get to work another 5 days.  Son of a bitch!!

Our Halloween merchandise is on super duper clearance right now.  Even the ugly stuff is selling cause it's cheap. I am always amazed at how people will spend their hard earned dollars on something crappy simply because there's a yellow 'clearance' tag stuck on the box.  Sometimes life is not about buying 'clearance.'  There is a reason that tag is on merchandise... to clear inventory.  A day doesn't go by when someone doesn't come up to the flooring desk and ask "what's on sale."  One of these days I'm going to honestly say "the crappy shit."

And ain't this sweet?

Jared and Ivanka Danka have threatened to sue.  Keep in mind that because they're considered advisors, both of them are being paid with your tax dollars.  I wonder how good Jared's Russian is since I can see a relocation to somewhere south of Moscow in the near future.

And there are now Covid diagnosis's in the Pence Party.  Fool. He no doubt thought he was in a restaurant and waved his flimsy, little hand in the air a few times saying "I'll have three infections over here."

This is all over the news, now:  The Idiot jerk was at a 'private donor' event down in Nashville and told those who had paid up to $250,000 to be in the same room as him that the Republicans were most likely going to lose their senate seats.  Imagine what those donors must have felt like, paying those kind of bucks to be told by the Idiot Jerk "yeah, we're probably going to lose the Senate."  I wonder how many of them asked for a refund.  I would have.  I mean... shit!  These are not the words they expected to hear from a tinfoil dictator.

The Unanimous Decision

Saturday, and the temps are beginning a slow slide downward, but then this is what we should be expecting in autumn.  I do need to get out and rake the leaves in the backyard.  Tomorrow the high temp is predicted to be around 50 (F), so I expect they will be falling like rain.

Of course, Covid is spiking big time, I believe there were 80,000 new diagnosed infections yesterday, and all those fools who test negative?  Well, I don't think they understand that test only proves they haven't caught it yet.  I suspect this third wave is going to be crushing because we're not going to go into a full lockdown.  And you know there are all those MAGA heads out there who believe if they get sick there is always Remdesvir... you know?  The miracle drug given to the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  They don't understand the treatment is going to cost them $3210, nor do they understand their insurance companies are not going to eat that.  Hell, no.

I did volunteer to be a test subject for a vaccine and didn't make the grade.  Here's a little video about it.  They're still looking for volunteers.

For those who didn't hear, yesterday the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in a Unanimous Decision, said mail in ballots can not be discarded because signatures on the envelopes don't match your voter's card.  I don't know about you, but over time my signature has changed.  It barely resembles the one on my voter registration card I signed 28 years ago when I moved to Enola.  This decision has pissed off the Republicans Royally since the US Supreme Court will not overturn a unanimous decision.

Evidently the only 2 media outlets airing anything on Hunter Biden are Fox News and the New York Post, both owned by Rupert Murdoch, friend of the Idiot Jerk in the White.  This is to be expected.

What you are beginning to see is a lot of speculation as to what the Idiot Jerk will be doing after he loses: so many, many lawsuits in his future.  As I've said before, he and his spawn will emigrate to Russia.

And finally, I still have a lot of color in my front yard:  Zinnias, and dahlias, and even some roses are still blooming.

Trajectories

And so the weekend begins.  As I type this, Biggie is lying on the floor beside me his belly filled with breakfast.  Ah, the life of a dog... or any pet for that matter who's smart enough to twist his owner tightly round his paw.  Very shortly, he will stand up and lumber into the bed which is much more comfy then the floor.

Yesterday was slow at work.  One of my measures for a tile floor installation cancelled.  This was a bit of a relief because the customer was pushing for the job to be done fast.  She's selling her house.  She had bought cheap, clearance tile (probably not enough).  Yesterday she showed up at the flooring desk saying she had found a contractor who was going to do it... today, and I said fine.  Good contractors are booked ahead and you have to wait.  Finding one who doesn't have a waiting list is a good indicator his workmanship is lacking in both reliability and quality.

Oh, and there was another debate last evening.  Didn't watch it.  I did see a few muted clips this morning with subtitles, that's the only way I can take the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  Watching his eyes, however, as they slid from side to side, I could see he was looking for something to grasp onto.  His attacks weren't working.  He spit out some nonsense about Hunter Biden and Joe fired back a salvo using the 'secret Chinese bank account' as ammunition.  Neither Republican nor Democratic strategists see this last encounter as changing the trajectory of the election, especially with 42 - 48 million people having already voted.

And speaking of trajectories, I see that the Republican held Senate is most likely going to confirm Amy Coney Comquate on Monday.  This packing of the Supreme Court was supposed to help ailing campaigns and is instead turning into another Conservative Failure.  Americans want the court to be Centrist, balanced, with justices occasionally swinging to either the left or right. This is something the Republicans will never understand.  They hearts have this desperate craving to dictate and control, which is why they love their Idiot Jerk.  This is just one more stupidity which we're going to have to fix.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, Biden is being declared the winner of the final debate... as if that's any surprise.

And now finally, another pic of one of my pink dahlias.  Seeing it up close and in person it's a bit exquisite.

The Ornament

I drove down to That Fish Place yesterday.  Getting there is... complicated.  The exit to Landisville is completely closed.  This means you need to drive to the next exit and wind your way back.  The GPS in my was constantly resetting.  The same is true when you leave because... the entire section of road leading to the 283 on-ramp is torn up.  Anyway, I bought 6 Green Lantern Mollies and a snail... I have algae.

I have a dickens of a time deciding on what the winter theme was going to be for my tree.  Snowflakes?  Icicles?  Bears?  Wow!!  What a great idea!  All three combined!  I really like the idea of bears.

Cute and friendly, as long as you keep your distance.  Up close they can be dangerous.  So I bought one, an ornament, not the real thing.  And then I made a video.

And, of course, we only have 13 days until the actual election.  How many people have already voted is beyond me.  Every media outlet  has a different figure, all of them are high.  Reuters is giving a percentage.  According to them around 30% of the total votes cast in 2016 have already been mailed in, with Democrats leading the charge.  One thing you need to keep in mind.  Those ballots are identified by party affiliation, not by candidate.  There's no way we can tell how many Republicans have voted for Biden.

I understand the Idiot Jerk's campaign is running out of money.  He did say he was going to fund some of his campaign himself.  So far, no indication he's doing that.  Instead, they're cutting ad time in certain states.  That's not a 'win, win' strategy.  At this point, he's betting on taking it to the Supreme Court.  To avoid this the Democratic Victory needs to be overwhelming.  Vote Blue, if you haven't.  If not stand in line, do you part, and save the country!

The Friendly Pollinator

Ah, my Sunday has arrived.  A day for relaxation... kind of... I guess.  Right now we have spotty drizzle and fog.  The temps today in Central PA are supposed to hit 79 (F) which his hot for October.  In fact, for the next 5 days we're supposed to be sitting on the warm side.  It makes me wonder how this winter's going to be... global warming, you know?  Last year we had no snow.

I'm getting a new HRM chest strap today.  I've been using one that is old... maybe 7 or 8 years old and there are some connectivity issues.  Nothing lasts forever.  It was used heavily and was well worth the price I paid.

Yesterday I went to the gym as well as rode San Remo's 14 mile ride.  Of course, I then went and ate about a pound and a half of pasta and half a loaf of bread... and enjoyed every calorie.

And, as I was going to my neighborhood Giant supermarket yesterday, there was a bee rubbing pollen from one of my dahlias.  Well hello friendly pollinator!

In case you were wondering, there were also bees on my zinnias.

Of course, the Idiot Jerk is clamoring for Billy Barr to indict Hunter Biden.  Can you smell the stink of burning desperation?  Funny thing I read:  if Barr does as the Idiot Jerk wants, he will prove himself to be the biggest political hack in this country's history.  Gee, I thought he'd already proven that point.

There's also another failed stimulus package in the works.  The Idiot Jerk wants congress to go big... he needs the points.  McConnell is saying "no way, not before election day."  Everybody except the Republican Party realizes this is necessary.  The economy is slipping into darkness because their president didn't handle the virus correctly.  China did a full lockdown, their economy is reviving.  The Idiot Jerk played golf instead.  There had been talk of a 2nd wave... and we're heading into our 3rd because of the Republican Party.  This is going to crush the Midwest, and our recession is going to be far deeper.

Ouchy, Ouchy

So, this is my weekend!!  To celebrate, I went to the gym.  My arms are a bit rubbery.  Translation:  good upper body workout.  I had to play around with my Gym Genius workout App to figure out which buttons on my watch initiated which actions.  It actually works better than I was expecting.

I cut my thumb a work yesterday cutting a headrail for a vertical blind.  Had it been with a knife, I probably would have been written up since we're supposed to be wearing safety gloves.  However, it was the aluminum edge did the cutting as I toggled an aluminum peg into the cutter.  It didn't hurt much, but boy did it bleed.  Ouch.

Yesterday the Supreme Court let sit a standing by the PA Supreme Court which gives the state the ability to count mail in ballots that up to three days after the election, they just need to be postmarked by November 3rd.  Personally, I don't think there are going to be that many, at least not enough to win the state.  I don't think that will happen.  Here's why: Pennsylvania Democrats have requested over 1,770,000 mail in ballots, while Republican's have only requests about 650,000.  Can we say ouch?

Also, I saw where that dumbshit Ted Cruz, and a few of his losing cronies, are planning to introduce legislation to amend the constitution to limit the number of Supreme Court justices to 9.  You can almost smell the stink of their desperation.  He represents the difference between and ouch and a whine.

And there was this interesting opinion in the Washington Post by Dana Milbank.  What happens to the Republicans if there is No October Surprise?  They and their Russian compadres have been trying to a fiction bomb yet everything they've tried to spring on the unwary public has amounted to nothing more than a dud.  The Idiot Jerk is preparing to lob the Burisma grenade during the debate this Thursday hoping America starts shrieking ouchy!  ouchy!  ouchy!  I do suspect, however, it's going to be the Republicans who end up crying out in pain.

Ending the Lie

Finally, today is my 6th day.  Tuesday and Wednesday are my weekend off this week.  After that I get to work 4 days and have another weekend.  I have no problem with that.  Thanks to the generosity of the orange retailer I work for, and my age, I'm going to have around 40 extra hours of personal time I need to use by July.  In my mind, that spells another way to add to my vacation.

I watched a few episodes of The Haunting of Bly Manor.  It's actually listed as a 'Gothic Romance.'  Not my cup of tea.  Based on a short story / novella by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw, it is really nothing more than a number of backstory episodes of any almost entirely female cast.  If you're interested in a series about: women in danger, and women who make mistakes, or if you happen to be female, this might be for you.  The Haunting of Hell House was so much better.

As of yesterday about 30 million ballots have been mailed in, mostly Democratic.  I saw where the Idiot Jerk in the White House is now encouraging mail-in voting in some states because... well, there's Covid.  Oh, and there's also the fact that he's doo dooing poorly.  That's not a typo, but rather a precise description of his campaign.  He's holding superspreader rallies all over the place, gathering his MAGA head base, infecting them so they can take the virus back to Mom and Dad, and Gramps and Gran. The schtick he pulled in 2016 isn't working.  His only agenda is to divide.  This is what you should expect from a man who dealt with 4 (6 actually) bankruptcies, a man who's $1 billion in debt to... who?  The Russkie?

We got 15 days until the election and the Republicans are scared shitless.  Perhaps if they had considered America as a whole, rather then only their selfish selves.  This has been their problem since Reagan.  I said it before and I'll say it again.  Reagan started the lie, the Idiot Jerk in the White house is going to end it... very, very badly.

Remaining Stupid

Sunday... I'm sitting eating my breakfast.  Planet Fitness opens at 0700.  I have a new app: Gym Genius.  This will be my first day using it.  I've reset my workout schedule.  Three days at PF and 3 days on the bike and then a rest day.  Right now I'm doing 4 exercises, but that number will continually increase.  After my workout, I'm going to zip over to my local Giant (Supermarket).  I'm making roasted cauliflower for my lunch / dinner.  The recipe calls for pancetta, but I may use an alternative meat.

I've ordered 2 more ornaments for the tree.  I've started looking at size now.  What good is an ornament if it's too heavy to hang?  One of them is a lumberjack, something in the Poke the Bear series.

I'm also on my 2nd load of laundry for the day.  Sunday has never been my day of rest.

Heading to the house this with my grocery bag, I thought my dahlias still looked nice, so I took a picture.  That's Biggie up in the window.

And I saw that the Idiot Jerk in the White House held a rally in Michigan last evening.  Remember Michigan?  That state where some Cracker Jack domestic terrorists wanted to kidnap the Democratic governor?  Well, evidently some in the audience began shouting "locker her up," and the Idiot Jerk, with his crusty chancre of a soul allowed it to go on because... he has a chancre for a soul.

And there was this great opinion by a Republican Strategist in NBC News.  I read this and thought, hell, that hits the nail on the head.  Believing the confirmation hearing of Amy Coney-Cumquat would distract America from the fact that their Idiot Jerk president perfectly defines the Republican party.  Remember when they used to talk about smoke and mirrors?  Well, it seems as though they've failed Gaslighting 101.  Suddenly trying to pass some sort of skinny pandemic relief fund as a way of saving their political souls is rather difficult when the killer clown is already out of the box.  The only thing you can rely them to do is totally fail to learn their lesson.  In fact, that's the only thing they've ever been any good at, remaining stupid.

Knife in the Back

We had a frost warning for early this morning.   The temps are down to 38 (F), but so for no frost.  The leaves are starting to fall from trees though, like the rain we never really got yesterday but never did.  I'm off on Tuesday, but if the forecasters are right, rain will be falling here in Central Pa, so leaf raking might not be on my schedule.

I will need to get a snail for my tank.  Algae.  And the algae eater is so damn fickle.  Rather than clean off the side of the tank, it's turned out to be more of a nibbler than an eater, nibble a bit here, nibble a bit there, sort of like a grazer with a free ticket to Ponderosa.  Remember Ponderosa?  It used to be a buffet style restaurant.  Gee.  Does anybody remember buffets?

And there's all sort of interesting bits and pieces of political news.  A number of Republican Senators are in trouble because they suckered up to the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  Someone should tell them that after over 3 years of jumping aboard his dribble train, two weeks before the election is a bad time to decide to jump off.  You're hearing people say that slack-jawed McConnell made a mistake by trying to rush a Cracker Jack Crazy Christian onto the Supreme Court.  He thought this was going to help endangered Senators... it hasn't, and if they vote her in before election day?  Well, that might be the bloody knife in their back.

Biden beat the Idiot Jerk on ratings in the Dueling Town Hall competition.  Boy, I'll bet that must sting, to be a ratings loser.

And if you all remember, for quite some time I've been saying that when the Idiot Jerk loses, he'll end up moving to Moscow.  Well, he's starting to drop hints about leaving the country.  That's the only option he has to avoid being taken into custody the second Biden is sworn in.  I'm suspecting the whole family is going to relocate.  Their corruption is going to come out.

The same definition

Ah... Friday.  This is kind of my humpy day since I'm in the middle of a 6 day work week.  That's right, today's my third.  The weather's supposed to be cool, drizzly, possibly rainy, so that might keep the shoppers away.  If you are interested in stopping by, our Halloween stuff is flying out the doors.  Markdowns have begun.  Now when a customer walks into the flooring department and asks what's on sale, I can point to the front of the store and say "that big, green, inflatable monster."

I'm a little sore from yesterday's visit to Planet Fitness.  I suspect getting back into shape may take a little longer since I am now a little older.  That's fine.  There's nothing wrong with a little muscular discomfort if muscles maintain their mass.  Maintenance is everything.

Ben Sasse, a Republican from Nebraska up for re-election, apparently trashed the Idiot Jerk in the White House in a phone call to constituents.  This was not simple criticism. Once again, we hear the word 'bloodbath.'

And what about those New York Post stories on Hunter Biden?  Social media is in the process of shutting them down for a number of reasons.  I do believe now their source is being classified as being tampered with by the Russians.  This was, I think, supposed to be another October Surprise.  Instead, Giuliani is being investigated for possibly helping the Russians.  Could a charge of treason be in his future?

And there was a non-debate last evening.  Dueling Town Halls, is what the media was the event (s).  Evidently Biden talked for long periods of time treating the time with voters as an actual Town Hall, even going over his allotted times spot.  As for the Idiot Jerk?  He was contentious and irritable. One headlines claims he "even forgot to attack Biden."  Ouch!!  He used a throwaway line to say he rather than forcefully deny white supremacy.  Oh, and he couldn't bring himself to denounce QAnon (sp).  You have to remember, this man thrives on the underbelly of conspiracy theories.

Oh, and there are quiet whispers coming from Rupert Murdoch, a billionaire buddy of the Idiot Jerk, who's quietly prophesizing a "landslide victory for Biden."  Notice, he didn't say bloodbath... but in this case, landslide has pretty much the same definition.

Boycott NBC

Yesterday was pretty blasé at work, not a lot of customers.  That doesn't mean we didn't get the standard odd questions.  Surprisingly, a number of them are from individuals who have seen a 'new' product on TV.  We usually get one or two of those a day.  We also get a lot of "what's on sale?"  Here's a little secret:  if it's on sale, it's on clearance and it's leaving our inventory forever.  You have no idea how many people buy 'clearance' only to find out they didn't buy enough of a product that is no longer available.  Life suck for those who don't think.

I went to the gym again this morning.  No couple camping.  I did, however, hold my id card up to the hand sanitizer station at the front desk to get scanned in.  The attendant corrected me with a smile, so I said "what can I say, it's been a couple of years."  It was funny.

Obama says this election is going to be close.  He's right.  Even if Biden wins by a landslide, the Idiot Jerk and his team of henchies are going to pick certain states to challenge.  This is why we need to all get out and vote.  Biden's victory in each state must be substantial.  A state where he only wins by several thousand votes is fair game.  Let me be perfectly clear, we need to knock this election out of the park

And what about NBC have a Town Hall for the Idiot Jerk at the same time as ABC is having theirs for Biden?  To be honest, I had to laugh when I heard this.  Don't get me wrong, I'm all for boycotting NBC since their move has more to do with ratings then politics.  If the candidates were closer together in the polls, then I'd say their move was politically motivated.  However, America has already seen the Idiot Jerk in action twice on National TV.  Both times he failed miserably.  He cannot stop lying.  He is not going to change.

Also, this close to the election, there are no longer any 'undecided' voters.  Oh, sure, they may tell you they're undecided, but deep down in their hearts they know precisely who their going to vote for, and if for some strange reason they are truly undecided... well, they haven't been paying attention for the past 3.5 years.  The only people who are going to watch the Idiot Jerk on NBC are his base.  I suspect the ratings for either network are going to heading towards the record books.

Vote Blue.  Let's hit this sucker out of the Park.

Herd Immunity

While started transitioning into my new schedule yesterday, today is going to be the first day of my new / old routine.  I'm fairly adaptable, so there shouldn't be any issues.

I'm a tad sore from my first foray to Planet Fitness.  This is a good thing, proving I actually worked muscles  yesterday.  I've blocked out Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday mornings on my calendar.  Sometimes I'm rather organized.

The Seasonal Tree arrived yesterday and I began the assembly... not difficult.  I did learn, however, that the fairy I purchased will not be hanging from any of the boughs.  He's too big and weights too much and looks too much like he's reclining uncomfortably.  I've also started looking around for decorations that are wintery, rather than Christmasy.  Getting icicles is easy, but you have no idea how difficult it is to find little snow shovels, tiny tire chains, and itsy bitsy bags of Halite.

And I did make a pan pizza yesterday, half of which will be my meal ticket at work later this afternoon.

Of course, Phony Coney is evading questions as the Republicans prepare to vote her onto the Supreme Court.  They hate everything they can't control and are doing their damndest to destroy it.  This is why they love their tinfoil dictator so much.  A day doesn't go by without my thinking of the 2016 election and all those dumb shits who stayed home.  I hope this riles the skin off their backs... and teaches them a lesson.  Their health care, their lives, their marriages are at stake because of their ho-hum shrugs, their attitude which has now become quite cavalier about voting.  Now they know, if we don't run the country, they will, and America will become again a much more miserable place.

As for the Idiot Jerk?  He's back on the trail shrieking about Biden's mental state.  He's also pushing for herd immunity.  For those who don't remember, this is what he talked about way, way back when he was first told about Covid 19.  He'd asked why we just don't let it wash over the country?  So what if hundreds of thousands might die?  He doesn't care.  And now that he's managed to survive it, he could care even less.

And now a word from Cory Booker:

Yesterday was rainy...   Occasionally there were times of spotty drizzle, a misty dampness clinging to the lenses of your glasses you are forced to smudge away with a swipe of your forefinger.  And still, I took the dogs for a walk.  Even Biggie will go for a walk as long as it isn't a steady rain.

Otherwise, all I did was a spot of cleaning and a couple loads of laundry.  I'm in the process of switching to my new schedule: sleeping a bit later.  And I did go to the gym this morning.  Only for about 20 minutes.  It's on my schedule for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.  My only issue was that a couple had set up shop around one of the machines I like to use.  Setting up shop means they brought over several sets of dumbbells, had their towels, their beverages, and had decided they were going to do their workout in that one spot.

The tree I ordered is 'out for delivery.'  That was faster then I had been expecting.  The fairy ornament I had ordered arrived yesterday.  He is bigger than I was expecting, at least 8 inches.  Of course, there's nothing wrong with large ornaments.

I saw where one of the Idiot Jerk's spawn, Eric, cancelled a visit to a gun shop in Michigan once it was discovered that an employee was part of that group of domestic terrorists who planned to kidnap the Governor.

And the Idiot Jerk is back on the campaign trail.  He held a maskless rally yesterday in Florida.  One thing you can count on, his attorneys will challenge every state in which Biden wins, even in a landslide victory.  He will never concede, that would make him a loser.  How do we make him pay?  Sign onto his Twitter account and every 20 seconds Tweet one word at him.  Loser!  You can bet he'll shut that account down faster than he guzzles a Diet Coke.

And finally, the sham hearing began yesterday for Coney-Barrett.  She sat there arrogantly wearing her mask believing God had put her in this position for a purpose.  Well, we all know she's wrong.  We all know she's Cracker Jack Crazy.  As for the hearing?  Cory Booker summed it up perfectly.  A minority group of people is desperately trying to shove their socially conservative beliefs down America's throat.  "This is not Normal."  He repeats that phrase several times.  We must stop them now.

We are Rockin' the Boat!

My weekend began last evening and, as usual, I and the dogs slept in this morning.  Weather wise, we
re supposed to have showers.  In fact. they're predicted on and off for the next couple of days.  You know what they say, fall showers bring... falling leaves.  Wow, that's not as catchy as I had hoped.

On my agenda for today?  Cleaning the aquarium and adding water.  Oh, and I have to put the dishes in the dishwasher and also do laundry.  Otherwise, I'm going to be painting trim in my hallway.  Can you hear the enthusiasm in my words?

What isn't going to be on the check-list for this morning is a walk with the dogs... rain, you know?  maybe this afternoon.

And the Senate begins hearings on Amy Comey something or other.  I don't know why some people need to used 3 names.   Does sit mean they're complicated?  Or confused?  Are they who they are?  Or really someone else?  Instead of writing her full name all the time, I think I'll just use her initials:  ACB which I suspect resembles the dyslexic alphabet of reality she has running through her head.  Evidently she accidentally on purpose left several virulent anti-abortion articles and events she had participated in, off of her resume.  I suspect she's a lot like Grace.  Who's Grace?  The large spider living on my back porch.  She looks a lot like ACB, doesn't she?

An amusing thing I saw yesterday from Dick Durbin paraphrased.  "Republicans have been packing the courts for years and bragging about it, so I don't see why they should be upset if Democrats do it when they get in power."  What Republicans are really want us to do is to sit down and not rock their boat.  Yeah well, have they go a surprise coming.  Here's a little ditty foreshadowing what's to come.  It's quite catchy... except for Republicans.

Fairies & Truth

Today is supposed to be cloudy, drizzly and cool... though Christmas has pretty much arrived in the great orange retailer I work for... this means it might be busy... somewhat.  Customers are picking through the Halloween decorations and believe me, they are going fast.

I did something I never thought I'd do.  Ordered one of those tall and skinny, artificial Christmas trees.  I wanted something to go between the aquarium stand and the foot of the stairs.  Small palm trees and potted plants had been under consideration for a while, but I didn't want to spend money on something that might not survive.  The plan right now is to keep the tree up all year round and change the decorations to reflect the seasons: snow flakes, icicles, and the the like over the winter for example.  Believe me, there are tons of ornaments out there anything but Christmasy.  Here's an example:

That isn't too puckish, is it?

I saw where the Idiot Jerk made a public appearance yesterday.  His physician has said that he's no longer contagious.  Of course, since his administration refuses to provide the date when he last tested positive, the belief is that he was spitting out Covid germs at the debate.  In fact, the Idiot Jerk has so far refused to prove he is actually negative yet.  Now, you have to admit, it would make pretty much sense at this point to accept the fact that he was the superspreader at the event for Amy Comedy something or other.

And from what I'm hearing, if the race is close in Pennsylvania, the Idiot Jerk and his campaign are planning on legal action to fight the results.  The operative words here are 'if the race is close.'  If the Idiot Jerk loses by say... 80,000 or 90,000 votes, if sallowy ass is fried.  So, if you're a resident of Pennsylvania, get out and vote Blue.  Wouldn't it be great to be known as the state that shut up the Idiot Jerk in the White House?

Another Watergate Bloodbath?

Okay, so I guess we are officially in your weekend... not mine.  Monday is the first day of my weekend.  The weather forecast is rain...right now it's like 70%, and then 56% on Tuesday, the 2nd half of my weekend.  After that it's another 6 day stretch.  Of course, starting next week my shift is going to go later, which is fine for me.

I had my car inspected yesterday.  $146.  Ouch!  What did that all cover?  State inspection (once a year in PA), emission's inspection (one of only a handful of counties to require that), an oil change, and a tire rotation.  Labor alone was $110.  As I was sitting there editing Chapter 1 of The Body in the Loch, my 'attendant' asked if I wanted to add a 12 point maintenance check for $165.  Nope.  She showed me the air filter and said it needed to be changed (part of the $165) and again I said nope.  After she left, I pulled up, and watched a 1.5 minute YouTube video on my phone:  How to change the air filter in 2019 Crosstrek.  When I got home I ordered the filter from Amazon -  $18.98.

I also finished this:

If it looks a little crooked, it is; 115 years ago that used to be a back porch.  Oh dear, and you can see my reflection.

While I was at the dealership yesterday, Ted Cruz was whining on Fox Business (something or other) about how the Democrats were going to raise taxes and go for universal health care.   You know?  The shit that normally dribbles from his mouth.  This was his way of warning the GOP that November give them the same sort of bloodbath they experienced after Watergate.  He's not the only one beginning to mutter that the Idiot Jerk in the White House is someone the party is dreadfully going to regret.

Another Republican strategist said in the NYT that if Biden wins by double digits they will lose not only the Senate, but more seats in the House, as well as the Idiot Jerk, who will be forced to relocate to Moscow.  (I added the Moscow bit).

Finally, I was talking to my sister yesterday.  My brother in law is a rabid support of the Idiot Jerk.  I told her that the Idiot Jerk is not too popular.  That's when she told me that he had hung a blue flag from their upstairs window.  My niece is worried someone is going to begin throwing rocks at their house.  Then the both of us had a hearty laugh.

I kid you not

While some of you are prepping for the weekend, for me? Today is nothing more than a tease.

Yesterday was kind of... odd at work.  Is it full moon?  Here's an example. (I hope you're sitting down).  A customer called, they were supposed to have flooring delivered yesterday and she was concerned because no one had called her yet.  So I checked.  The delivery date had expired.  And then I looked and saw their quote was still 'staged for register,' so I asked "did you pay for this?"  She replied, "we gave the guy at the register the paper."  Of course I asked, "did you put it on your credit card?"  And she said "no, we're supposed to be set up for monthly payments."  So I told her she needed to put the charge on her credit card, and she asked?  "And they'll send us a bill every month?"  So, I said "yes."  Then I heard her tell her husband, "we were supposed to put this on our credit card, this guy says they'll send us a bill every month."  I kid you not.

None and then I'll see something that just... sticks out, and I think I ought to mention it, like an article in The Guardian.  It seems one of the main reasons McConnell is trying to push through Amy something or other's nomination to the Supreme Court is because he doesn't want to give the media too much time to scrutinize her past because... she is really Cracker Jack Crazy.  This makes sense.

And yesterday the Idiot Jerk in the White House lashed out at... well, a lot of people, in an interview.  Like any tinfoil dictator, he's furious his political opponents haven't been indicted and put in jail. How Putinesque.  Our infamous leader also believes he won his debate with Biden, even though his approval rating dropped 4 points afterwards.  He refused to participate in a 'virtual debate' because they'll mute him so he can't interrupt.  He also claimed his treatment was a cure... it isn't.  Oh, and I guess no one told him that this 'miracle from God' was developed using aborted fetus tissue.  It was also revealed he had the doctors and staff at Walter Reed sign NDA's (non-disclosure agreements) after his secret trip there in 2019.  Oh, and his doctor (?) said he's finished his treatment, so he wants to start live rallies this weekend.  I kid you not, I can not make this shit up.

Finally, a bit of summer still blooms as we enter fall.  Here's a pic of one of my roses, oh, and that's Biggie in the background.

Flies Land on Shit

For some reason or other, I keep thinking today is Friday.  I was corrected yesterday several times because I made several comments about today being Friday.  I woke this morning and had to remind myself today is only Thursday.  Mostly I think this is because I'm working 2 days and then off a day, working 2 days and then off a day.  Split days off, you know.  This is why I like my days off to be consecutive.

Here's an interesting bit:  before I hung the storm door, Big Seig would scratch the door to let me know he was ready to come back in, with the storm door in place, however, all he does is stand on the back steps and wait.

I did some designs on cellular shades for a very nice woman who had some very expensive rings on her fingers and wanted new shades for 12 windows.  The least expensive was for $122 per blind, the most expensive $535 per blind, and the middle blind cost $355.  She pointed to the one for $355 and told me she liked that style and said, "after all, it's nothing more than disposable income."  I don't know about you, but for me, almost $4000 is not 'disposable income.'

Oh, and there was a debate last evening. Against my better judgment, I started watching it, however I turned it off when Pence began speaking.  The moment he began shaking his head as Kamala was speaking, a visual way of tut, tut, tuting her like a pretentious authoritarian slovenly drunk on his own beliefs, I knew I was going to end up clicking away to something truer and wiser.  He is as unclean as his boss.  How do I know?   The fly.  Pictures and videos are everywhere.  What a striking image, a fly landing on the head of Pence as he was lying.

I have big dogs so I have seen the truth many times over.  Flies land on shit.  We all know this.  It's why we don't want them landing on our food.  We don't want them walking up and down are skin.  They eat and then they vomit, and then they eat the vomit.  Can you think of a more visual sign as to where this administration is headed?

Dirty Desperation

Okay, so I forgot to turn my alarm clock on for this morning.  Sleeping in is fun.  The dogs love it!  So do I.

Yesterday I got quite a lot accomplished.  My storm door is almost completely installed. There are just some minor bits and pieces needing to be screwed on.  I am pleased.  Since I found myself paying less and less attention to Greek, I loaded a Rosetta Stone German course into my writing laptop.  I've often felt I should learn the language since I am part Pennsylvania Dutch.

I decided to move my grandparents black, steel clock from my dresser down to my desk.  It doesn't always work, but it looks good there.

I also drove my ballot to the Post Office.  Early voting by mail is great.

So, yesterday the Idiot Jerk said he was cutting off talks on a new stimulus package until after the election, saying "once I'm re-elected" a new package would be passed.  Susan Collins, who's going to be fired because she's a rat-bag Republican, went into panic mode, as did a number of other struggling, Republican senators.  In case you didn't know, this is the Idiot Jerk's version of Blackmail: vote for me and you get a package, vote for Biden and you'll have to wait.  Well, overnight he changed his mind and is now promising $1200 for every American.  Like that will ever happen while the Republicans hold the Senate.

Right now their focus is on getting their Cracker Jack Crazy Christian Handmaid into the Supreme Court.  They are so damn stupid.  America has told them to wait until the next president takes office.  Of course, there's very good possibility they will be a minority party by then, so their going to try and ram this nomination through.  They don't realize history is going to see their actions as nothing more than dirty desperation.

Oh, and Pennsylvania as veered seriously into Blue territory... and the Idiot Jerk is shrieking 'fake polls.'  Surprise, there are 800,000 more registered Democrats in this state then there are Republicans.  Damn!  Vote Blue so we can bring in the power washer and blow away their dirt.

Unclean

Today is a day off for me and I didn't sleep in, mostly because the dogs thought 0300 was a good time for a potty break.  I did go back to bed, but found myself thinking about this and that.  I'd doze off, and then wake up, and doze off again.  I probably was sleeping more than I thought, but in the end, around 0430 I roused myself up and started a pot of coffee.  I am off today.  I can take a nap if I feel the need.

While there are some chores scheduled for today, mostly it's going to be spent relaxing, especially since I go back to work tomorrow.  Friday I'm off again... to get my car inspected.  It's new, so there should be no surprising charges.

Of course, the Idiot Jerk in the White House left Walter Reed yesterday... after 3 days.  His treatments are supposed to continue there.  This means that in those 3 days all the necessary medical equipment needed to keep him alive has been installed in a room at the White House.  If you watch the little clip of him standing on the balcony and taking off his mask you'll notice he's having problems breathing.  He takes several deep breaths.  He also breathes through his mouth a lot.  I work with an associate who has emphysema, he breathes through is mouth quite frequently, it gets the air down into his broken lungs faster.

Comparatively speaking, I was reminded of George W standing on the ruins of the World Trade Center.  That photo-op got him re-elected.  The Idiot Jerk's taking off his mask was supposed to show strength in the same way.  Once again, he failed.  He's a failed reality TV star who's desperately looking for a gimmick to regain his audience.  The blowback he's getting shows a vast majority disapproved.  They have come to realize that in Biblical Terms, this man is unclean.

And for those of you who missed it, Justices Alito and Thomas have vocalized support for Kim Davis.  That's right, they want to take away your rights... all of them.  All of you who didn't vote because you thought Hillary had it in the bag?  You are responsible for this.  How do you fix this Cracker Jack Crazy travesty?  Vote Blue.  Get everyone of your friends to Vote Blue.  We need to take them out, take them down, and put them back where they belong.

Dirty Manipulation

It's an early morning for me.  The father of one of my fellow associates died, so I'm going in to work early.  I suspect they'll want me to do supervisor things since the associate was an aisle manager for the paint and specialty departments.  There's only so much I can do since I'm now just a lowly, hourly specialist.

For those who don't have Twitter, yesterday a lot of gay men pissed of the Proud Boys by showing them how Pride brings out the really Proud Boys. #ProudBoys was trending heavily for a while.  Here's a screen shot to show you what many were seeing.  Can we talk about being armed and dangerous?

Anyway, I got my storm door hung yesterday before I went into work. I will need to play around with the framing since my house is old with no straight lines and no 90 degree angles.  This is fine.  Lily wasn't too pleased with it at first, but she's fine now.

And how sick is the Idiot Jerk in the White House?  His doctors are giving conflicting information.  Supposedly he's on a steroid used only in very severe cases, yet he's well enough to go for a ride to wave at his mentally ill supporters.  Of course, the glass was tinted, he was wearing a mask, and when I looked at the pictures I couldn't tell if it was the Idiot Jerk or Boris Johnson riding inside that SUV.  For all we know, that might have been a body double.  There's also the possibility the conflicting reports we're getting from both the White House and his Medical Team caused by their inability to stick to one lie. Remember, after failing to kickstart his campaign so many times, his last, most desperate option might be to appeal for the sympathy vote.  There are fools out there who will fell sorry for him without understanding this might just be another form of dirty manipulation.

He does need to do something to counter that abysmal debate.  His approval rating dropped among everyone but his rabid base.  Biden when from being 10 points ahead to 14 points ahead in his race for the White House.  More and more you're hearing people say "enough of the Idiot Jerk."  America is fed up with this dirty reality show.  They want it to end.  The only way to do that is by voting Big and Blue.  The time has come to squash the GOP and take back America... forever.

Theologically Approved Magic

Wow, it's Sunday!  I slept in a bit since I'm going into work late.  The 'muscles' I'm using to help install my storm door are showing up this morning.  Instead of punching in around 0800, I'll probably hit the time clock around 1100... or maybe 1130.  Since it is... Sunday, this is fine.  The 'after church' crowd doesn't start showing up until noonish, and if the football game hasn't been cancelled because of Covid many of them will stay home to watch men in padded suits tease each other with infection.

Being an employee in what's considered a high risk group (over 65), the great orange retailer I work for gave me a lot of personal time in case I came down with Covid.  Many of the associates who got this 'chunk of time' have frittered it away by using a day here and there.  Not me.  Since we are not allowed to let this sit on the books forever, we were given the option to cash some of it in, which I promptly did.  As a result, around Thanksgiving I'm going to be getting a very, very nice bonus in my check.  The hours I left on the books will need to be used by July.  I don't think I'll have a problem doing that.

I understand the Idiot Jerk Tweeted some sort of video yesterday from Walter Reed in which he claimed his treatments were 'miracles from God.'  Have you ever heard such horseshit in your life?  Whatever happened to science?  You'll notice he didn't mention the men and women who worked diligently behind the scenes to develop remdesivir.

Evidently his doctors must have found a big, big stash in  a cabbage patch.  The last thing he wants to do is mention the word 'science.'  His Cracker Jack Crazy Christian base hate that word.  They would so much prefer relying on snake oil and theologically approved magic than science.

And, of course, there have been conflicting reports regarding his health, mostly I suppose because they can't really decide which tact to take.  Is he knock, knock, knocking on death's door, or is this really nothing more like a bad case of the flu... where he needs to be on oxygen, but only for a little bit of time.  There are times when I suspect he might not even be sick.  I've seen a number of remarks regarding Reagan and how the nation rallied around him.  That's not happening with the Idiot Jerk, though I think that's what they were hoping for.  In fact this might just be another desperate attempt to kick start his failing campaign.  If it is, it's failing miserably.  According to a Reuters / IPSOS poll Biden has moved into a 10 point lead.  Ouch.  This is why the Idiot Jerk is being treated with miracles from God.

Lip Service

My, wasn't yesterday just an an excitable infusion of Remdesiver joy and palpable drama?

Work was slow.  Customers did come to the flooring desk, but most of the questions were of the inquisitive, non-revenue earning type.  I did sell a 12 x 11 carpet remnant to a woman who, after purchasing it, asked if we could fold it in half so she could put it in the back of her Ford, Explorer.  Rolls of carpet don't fold well... at all.  In the end, she said she open the back window and let it stick out.

And, of course, the Idiot Jerk chose to go to Walter Reed Hospital.  The Reality Show has changed.  Statements of concern flooded the air waves with all the depth of your standard, generic, wannabe Hallmark card.  He was given the same sort of lip service he give so many others.  Only his base feels sorrow.

Skepticism is high as to whether he really is ill.  A friend of mine at work showed me a rumor stating the October Surprise was going to be his miraculous recover from Covid.  This man who trolls the sewers for conspiracy theories in now the source of many.  What I find most outstanding is that many of them revolve around his failing campaign, that he's still looking for a way to jumpstart his ratings.  The LA Times had an interesting article noting how the nation rallied when Reagan was shot... that's not happening with the Idiot Jerk.  Many more seem inclined to see this as his Karma, or what ever they want to call Judgment.  One thing is for certain, his bout with this virus he called a hoax is not going to benefit his campaign.  This is obvious when you see the faces of the cast from his favorite propaganda show, Fox and Friends, as Chris Wallace describes how not one member of his family wore a mask at the debate.  (What! They didn't wear masks?) Can you hear my smug humor.

And I must admit I'm a bit surprised.  The lip service being paid to the Idiot Jerk in the White House is so much more generous than what he and his party would have offered Biden if the shoe was on the other foot.  Biden stopped running negative ads.  The Idiot Jerk would have ramped them up, calling Biden every despicable variation of loser possible.  Well, now we know who the loser is.  United, we can vote he and his party back to Hell.
