Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Way to Go Joe!

As someone who buys a lot of from Amazon, I get a lot of questions from potential buyers.  People as stupid questions.  I've taken to responding honestly, rather than skip their inanity.  I use ear buds when I do my cardio.  Yesterday someone asked if the FAA allowed you to take the charger into the cabin of an airplane...   My response:  "I don't work for the FAA, so how would I know?"
Anyway, I've probably pissed some people off because of my stand on the Lucy Flores and her complaint against Joe Biden.  I've complained about people calling them 'allegations' because that word implies that a crime has been committed.  Excuse me, but making someone feel uncomfortable is not a crime.  Believe me, I work in retail and I can tell you first hand about inappropriate behavior.  When I managed the paint desk I was constantly dealing with male customers hitting on one of my female associates.  We're not talking subtle glances here, or even a paternal kiss on the back of the head.  There are a lot of grabby men out there, like the Idiot Jerk in the White House, or they say things like "nice tits," or "I like the way you pick of that gallon of paint."  Personally, I think Lucy Flores should get a job at the Paint Desk so she can experience inappropriate behavior in its truest form.
It irritated me that people heard her complaints and jumped on board the 'hate Joe train,' or jumped to the conclusion she was 'poor victim.'  I wonder how many of them knew Lucy is a Bernie Sanders supporter.  The first question that went through my head when I heard that was 'did she help with his 2016 campaign?'  The answer is yes.  'Did she donate money to his campaign?'  These questions make a difference.  There's is the possibility that Lucy Flores may be less of a victim and more a political tool than people realize.   She wants her guy to win and so she's going to do what ever she can to hurt Biden.  Don't believe me?  This is what a co-worker of Lucy's said about her during Sanders 2016 campaign.   There's actually an Equal Opportunity Lawsuit pending against her.  Maybe Lucy's pissed she lost her bid for Lieutenant Governor.
Yesterday Joe Biden gave a speech in which he joked about these complaints.  Afterward he explained and he was very frank and up front.  This was not surprising.  The Republicans see him as a substantial threat because he demonstrates ethics and values, two things the current administration shit away decades ago.  As he spoke he came across, not as a candidate for president, rather him embodied the attributes of a president.  He is what America so desperately needs.  Way to Go Joe!
Oh, and as for the other 6 women who claiming he embarrassed them with what they claim to be inappropriate behavior, I'm going to paraphrase Treaders here:  It's time to put on your big girl knickers.  I mean, do these women think Joe Biden made the uncomfortable, what do they think they'd get from the Idiot Jerk in the White House.

    1. Her possible political motive was the first thing that went through my head.

I agree about the age thing. Mayor Pete is nice... maybe too nice. I can see him as VP to Kamala.

  2. I'm am touchy feely and my boss at work a gay male is also. He will sometimes, lay a hand on the shoulder or pat you on the back. I don't think anything of it. People these days are wound to tight, take everything way to serious, or are just pure virgins. Not ever touch implies they want to jump you. I think most people should be able to read the singals.

Also while a I don't condone touching people sexualy...I just find if funny how of a sudden this woman comes out in the open to admit this??? Why do these individuals wait till "a right moment"...in any case, to reveal these things. My mother even says if it was done to her, she would mention it right there and then. Makes me wonder if there is an axe to be grinded?

I always loved Joe Binden...but how like Hillary...it's time to move on. We need the new blood. If we had to vote right now for a candidate...Pete Buttigieg would be getting my vote. I also like Kalama Harris....but there is something about her that bothers me...can't put my finger on it.

    1. I'm from staunch old German stock and I don't like it when strangers touch me so I'm not touchy feely at all. As for Lucy, this is all political and needs to be treated as such.

  3. Mistress Maddie, I'm not sure I can agree on "speak up at the time it happened" sadly. When the creep at work was trying to kiss the back of my neck (and more) I was very young, in my early 20s probably. Young and naive. I don't think I would have had the courage to call him out on it (hence the obstacle course to my desk) and I know of men in our organization that basically told young girls "sleep with me or else". So I can see why some people hang fire for a while. Actually when I worked in HR I had to type up an audio tape taken by a young girl who came forward many years later to accuse this same creep of forcing her to give him blow jobs to keep her job. Long story, she needed a visa to stay in the country and so on. When my then bosses both questioned why she waited so long I stood up for her. Like I say, it's a long story, but he was out the door in 30 minutes stuttering and spluttering. As an older woman I wouldn't take it but if you are young and more vulnerable I can understand the delay. That being said, I do think this woman coming forward now was totally political!

    1. Treaders, I do think it would be a tough situation to be. And like you say, I think the reason for coming forward is different for many. I'm glad your story and this woman had a good ending and the guy is gone.

    2. A quick search and I discovered Lucy would have been either 29 or 30 when Biden sniffed her hair. This is purely political. The creep in you dealt with should have been sent spluttering years earlier.

    3. Dave I agree. It's political. And Mistress Maddie, you're right. As an older woman now I wouldn't take that sh"t but as a younger woman I wouldn't know how to deal with it! Love your blog by the way!
