I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Don't go to Texas!!!

Today's payday.  I'm always excited when someone puts money into my bank account, even when I have to work 40 hours in order to earn it.  One of the things the very, very large home improvement retailer has done during the lockdown was to give associates an added bonus for working.  They have extended it until July 5.  I would not be surprised if this gets extended again since Covid 19 is exploding all over the place because of failed, Republican leadership.
I'm thinking of getting an acrylic rather than glass tank.  They're a bit pricier, but weigh less, and that little bonus I'm getting will pay for it in not time.  Size wise?  I'm probably going to go with something around 50 gallons.  That way the fish can grow.  Fairly large tank... fairly big fish... sounds good to me.  I really don't want a school of 20 or 30 tetras swimming around.
And I saw where the mayor of NYC is going to have Black Lives Matter painted on the street in front of the Idiot Jerk's Tower.  And, of course, the Idiot Jerk flipped out.
Another judge threw out the suit he was bringing against his niece for writing a tell-all book.  I think the title was "Scumbags from Hell..." honestly, I jest.  Titling your book "Scumbags from Hell" would be rather redundant, don't you think?
Don't go to Texas!  or Florida! or Arizona! or Oklahoma!  Or, practically any state run by a Republican governor.  Covid 19 is running rampant through those states!  If only Republicans had just a wit of common sense!  But they don't.  The economy was more important.  The economy was the only thing that might get the Idiot Jerk re-elected.  You know, when the governor of Texas says "shut down is a last resort," that decision is now on the table.  And that dumb shit De Santis in Florida? Now he's screaming "don't go out!  don't go out!" and making threats to shut down those very establishments he deemed essential for public welfare, like bars, and hair salons, and nail parlors.
And, of course, he's going to the Supreme Court to shut down the rest of the ACA... in a pandemic.  That shows you where is priorities are.
Finally, I've started harvesting my peaches.  Most of them are the size of tennis balls, though I do have some that are the size of walnuts.

  1. I like your peaches!
I planted a little apple tree as part of my backyard experiment and I'm dreaming of picking up apples next year. LOL
And don't get me started with the Repug governors seeing COVID-19 fucking up their 'reopenings'. Idiots! Those red states will never see those thousands of deaths as their own damn fault, though. They'll still vote Repug no matter what.
I read IMPOTUS keeps trying to do without the ACA. In the middle of a pandemic. So Repug of him. That's why they tolerate him, BTW. He's doing what 'mainstream' Repugs know better not to do. Bet Mitch is smiling in his shell.

    XOXO

    1. I saw that, and find it interested the man who said don't wear masks is not saying well, maybe we should have to keep the death rate down.

  5. Peaches are the greatest thing when they are in season, which is now in SC.

I was just saying to Carlos that these Red States, generally the poorest states, are seeing a rise in COVID that they call a hoax because a liar told them so. The people will get sick and have a huge hospital bill to pay and no insurance because the liar took it away.
And yet they will still vote for him in November.
It's not the heat, it's the stupidity.

    1. No they won't. They'll stay home from the polls. I think they understand that if he left them for dead in this term, his next will be even worse.

    2. Dave, sadly I think the MAGA Maniacs aren't smart enough to either stay Home or not Vote for someone who doesn't Care whether they live or die and is merely playing them for Fools and to stroke his oversized Ego by their Devotion to him no matter what he says and does to everyone's detriment. You can't fix Stupid.

  6. Gosh those peaches look lovely. My tree is giving tons of tiny peaches at the moment. Very hard but so sweet. I never thought they would grow here but seemingly they do. Lovely!

  7. I love the taste of peaches, but I can't cope with the fuzz! Childhood trauma with a friend's peach tree. I still feel the itch.

  8. I bought some South Carolina peaches yesterday, but haven't tried one yet. They look beautiful there in the bowl!

What kind of fish are you thinking of getting. If it's going to be big I'm assuming some sort of cichlid? Gregg always loved South American cichlids.

  9. I live in Arizona and our Covidiot Red Governor is so incompetent, but what did anyone expect of someone whose experience was being a CEO of an Ice-Cream Parlor Chain?! *LOL* Seriously, we're screwed as a Country unless some Real Leaders step forth and take over this shitshow ASAP. The U.S. is doing worse at handling a Crisis of this magnitude than 3rd World Countries, it's embarrassing! Your Peaches are nice tho' and I'm glad you're getting a Bonus. I have a small Aquarium of Mollies and Platties. My Dad bred Tropical Fish to sell to Pet Stores back in the 1960-1970's Era... it's a lot of Work to have some Species, especially a Salt Water Tank.

    1. I had thought of doing a salt water tank but that's going to be more $$$ than I want to invest.

And remember, Republicans are a minority group of self breeders.
