For those of you who didn't feel it, the earth trembled a bit yesterday as another rat jumped ship. Trey Gowdy, (he with the ridiculous looking hair) announced he would not seek re-election. Wait, wait... hold your applause, you see a vacancy opened up in the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals shortly before he made his announcement. That position is appointed by the President, but still needs to be approved through the House and Senate. The Idiot Jerk is trying to make the Judiciary as conservative as possible... so I suspect that Trey sees this as a good move. Of course, the way things are stacking up against the Idiot Jerk, that appointment might never happen.
I am halfway through my work week. I have split days off. I'm supposed to be getting consecutive days off... sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
We also have inventory coming up in 3 weeks. This will be the first year that I will be working a regular shift - no getting up at 0300 so I can be at the store an hour later for a 12 hour day. I do have to say that things have changed a lot - we used to have to wait until preliminary figures were in before we could leave for the day. Now? They let people go as soon as REGS starts packing up. But, as I said, this year I'll just be working my 10:30 to 7 shift. I'm actually looking forward to this year's inventory.
Otherwise things are relatively quiet, but then it's a cold day in February.
They say we might get some snow late Saturday into Sunday. I'm off Sunday... no problem.
